Connecticut Golf Society

The Connecticut Golf Society, Inc. (CGS) enables golf clubs to issue a USGA Handicap Index to their members.

CGS uses USGA GHIN (Golf Handicap Information Network) featuring:

  • The ability to post scores at any course.

  • eClubhouse - an online web site for each member club.

  • All clubs are members of the CT State Golf Association (CSGA).

  • Online Score Posting and Peer Review an statistics.

  • USGA Handicap Revisions via E-Mail (eRevisions).

  • Members are eligible for CSGA Championships.

  • Continuous scoring and index records available online for as many years as you are on the system.

We service all three golf club types as defined by the USGA.

All clubs of CGS must be licensed by the USGA® to issue golf handicaps.  Please visit about us for more information and applications.

We are formed for the general purpose of promoting and conserving the best interests and the true spirit of the game of golf.

Included within the general purpose are:

  • To cooperate with and assist the United States Golf Association and other recognized golf associations in the promotion and advancement of the game of golf.
  • To hold amateur competitions each year and to promote and sponsor such tournaments.
  • To establish and maintain a uniform handicap system in compliance with the USGA Handicap System.
  • To promote and assist in funding of approved golf-related purposes, either alone or in conjunction with other golf associations.
